What you can do

How it works

  1. Download the Mac DMG or Windows zip. A how-to guide is in the same folder.
  2. Open Chord Chart. It opens in its own window on your computer.
  3. Drop a song. Play, jump, edit, and save a PDF. Nothing is uploaded.

Install

macOS — Apple Silicon (M1 / M2 / M3)

  1. Download Chord-Chart-Apple-Silicon.dmg from the home page
  2. Open the DMG
  3. Drag Chord Chart to Applications
  4. Open How to use Chord Chart.html for the guide
  5. Open Chord Chart

If Mac says it cannot verify the app (Done / Move to Trash):

  1. Click Done. Do not move it to Trash.
  2. In Applications, right-click Chord Chart (or Control-click).
  3. Choose Open. When the warning appears again, click Open.

If there is still no Open button: System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll down → Open Anyway.

macOS — Intel

  1. Download Chord-Chart-Intel.dmg from the home page
  2. Open the DMG
  3. Drag Chord Chart to Applications
  4. Open How to use Chord Chart.html for the guide
  5. Open Chord Chart

Pick the right Mac build: Apple menu → About This Mac. If you see a Processor (for example Intel Core i5), use the Intel DMG. If you see a Chip (for example M1), use Apple Silicon.

Windows

  1. Unzip ChordChart-Windows.zip
  2. Open How to use Chord Chart.html for the guide
  3. Double-click ChordChart.exe

If the browser blocks the zip (Uncommon download): click Keep, then Keep anyway if asked.

If Windows says it protected your PC (Don’t run):

  1. Do not click Don’t run.
  2. Click More info.
  3. Click Run anyway.

If there is no More info: right-click ChordChart.exe → Properties → check Unblock → OK, then open it again.
